About Us

United Housing Resources (UHR) began in 2022 to address the housing needs of marginalized communities in the Pacific Northwest.

We are a non profit organization that provides tools, education, and resources to help marginalized communities achieve homeownership.

Inspired by the challenges faced by BIPOC and immigrant homebuyers during the competitive housing market of the COVID-19 pandemic, UHR focuses on leveling the playing field through down payment assistance and support for African Americans, BIPOC, and immigrant homebuyers.

We believe in the power of housing to transform lives, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for all. Every individual and family deserves a safe, stable place to call home, and we are dedicated to making that vision a reality.

Board of Directors

Kennedy Akinlosotu

President and Executive Director

Kennedy Akinlosotu is a dedicated real estate designated broker and business professional renowned for his skill, versatility, and adaptability. His work ethic and expertise have established them as a valuable asset, boasting extensive knowledge and experience as a real estate trainer, managing broker and executive administrator.

Jacob Onyechi

Board Member

Originally from Houston, Texas, Jacob Onyechi’s journey took him from the football field to a distinguished career in the Air Force as an engineer and a real estate investor. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Air Force Academy, excelling academically while playing football throughout.

He is currently serving in Utah as an Air Force Engineer.

Olufunmilayo Onyechi

Board Member

Olufunmilayo, AKA Funmi, is a real estate investor and has also served in the Air Force for the past 7 years. She graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and has received her Masters in Public Health from Liberty University. She is currently serving in Utah as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer.

Julie Burrell

Board Member

Julie Burrell is a seasoned leader with over 37 years in program and project management, specializing in economic development, public-private partnerships, and community outreach. At King County Metro, she has led strategic transportation initiatives, building partnerships with major employers to address regional transportation needs. Her expertise includes contract management, grant writing, and creating effective communication strategies to engage diverse audiences. Julie’s role as a Senior Transportation Planner involves managing complex projects, coordinating across public and private sectors, and driving social justice efforts within transportation. Julie is actively involved in social justice and advocacy, serving on boards like the FAME Equity Alliance. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington and is trained in leadership, conflict management, and emergency preparedness, making her a committed advocate for equitable community development.

Aisha Nicole

Aisha Nicole is a passionate advocate for empowering individuals to achieve their goals and live their best lives. With extensive experience in real estate, employee benefits, and project management, Aisha brings a unique blend of expertise and a heart for service to her work. As a licensed Real Estate Managing Broker, she has dedicated her career to helping first-time home buyers navigate the path to homeownership with confidence and clarity. Aisha enjoys inspiring others through storytelling, sharing her journey of faith, healing, and purpose.

Jodie Barber

Board Member

With a background of over 30 years in the mortgage industry, Jodie Barber is dedicated to creating an excellent experience for both her clients and her professional partners. Jodie operates at a high level of efficiency with values such as clear communication, open availability, and unbeatable customer service all at the top of her list. She is compassionately transparent and has the ability to think outside of the box to ensure customers of all walks of life are treated with the utmost care. You will often hear Jodie say “homeownership is a partnership,” as she believes in personally walking her clients through every step of the home loan process. She is committed to making every client's experience seamless, personal, and downright “The Best”! Jodie is also a mom with a strong family values system. She enjoys vacationing with her son, fishing, giving back to her community, and ultimately, helping people realize their dream of homeownership. As a seasoned strategy and execution leader with over 15 years of customer and partner-facing experience, Eromosele enables billion-dollar global ISVs to achieve double-digit growth, customer acquisition, and workplace innovation using Microsoft cloud technologies. He is a Global ISV Partnerships Leader at Microsoft, where he leads executive relationships with market-maker global ISVs across various industries and verticals, and orchestrates solution development, co-marketing, co-selling, and technical execution with Microsoft field leaders, partners, and customers.

Robin Finley

Board Member

Robin started her career in banking where she worked in retail banking, consumer lending, and loan servicing before settling in affordable lending. Currently, she serves as an underwriter and compliance officer at HomeSight. Robin finds joy in helping people obtain their first home.
